Play Your Own Dating Game With Datecheck Application

Have you ever met someone, gone out on a date, and then found out their history was not in line with their words?  Or are you thinking about going out with the person you met at the bar, but wish you knew more about him first?  Intelius’ new DateCheck application allows you to use facts to back up your intuition about people you meet.

Dating Game Used to Debut Application

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Intelius debuted their newest application in a somewhat unconventional way – with a live version of the Dating Game.  The show typically has a bachelor or bachelorette asking three potential dates questions to help determine who they would like to go out on a date with.  Intelius’ bachelorette kept true to this style, asking contestants questions like “If we went on a date and things were going well, you’d say we went together like blank and blank.”

However, this bachelorette also had one advantage – the new DateCheck application, which allowed her to find out if any of the eligible bachelors had a criminal record or if they owned their home.

Information in the Palm of Your Hand

You can be like Intelius’ bachelorette with the DateCheck application.  The application allows you to find out everything from address to marital status to criminal records to even employment history.  Some of the features include:

•          $ $ $ – Find out where a person is living, as well as other addresses where they have lived previously.  You can find out if your date owns his or her own home, as well as find out what the average income and house value is for that area.  You can also see previous employment history and job titles.

•          Compatibility – If you believe that the stars will help you find your perfect mate, then you can check out your astrological compatibility with your date’s to see how well you’d match.

•          Interests – Find out if your date has a Facebook or a Twitter page or what other websites they are registered on to learn more about their interests.  This feature will pull up personal and professional websites.

•          Living situation – You can make sure that the divorce really is final or if your date still lives at home with mom and dad with this feature.

•          Sleazedector – This allows you to look up a person’s criminal records and check for sexual offenses.  Find out if there is anything in their legal past that might turn you off from a date – or if they have the squeaky clean record they claim they do.

DateCheck essentially allows you to view the public records of your date to find out everything that you need to know to make a good dating decision.  There is no longer any worry that the person you are going out with is who they say they are, and you can easily find out if they are hiding something from you.

Online Dating – My First Time

Category: Online Dating Adviceadmin @ 12:42 am

by whatsthatpicture

Okay, my first online dating. I’ll take a look, but I’m not saying that I’m going to participate in online dating just yet. I’ve heard the success stories and the horror stories about online dating, but I do not have any first hand experience to share with you on the topic.

What I plan to explore the different online dating services available on the web. Brace yourself and buckle your seatbelt, I’m going to try something I saw in a cartoon.

Just kidding. That’s something I like to say to the passengers in my car just before I start to drive. Maybe that’s part of the reason I’m having online dating problems in the first place.

Okay, the first website I discovered says it’s a “free” online dating service. Online, red flags always go up for me when someone says that magic word, “free”. But, let’s take a closer look.

Well, it sounds good. It says it is, “an online dating service that provides a comfortable and intimate environment where you can safely and conveniently search and find your perfect soul mate, while having lots of fun. Thousands of dating ads of singles that are looking for dating romance, intimacy and friendship is available for you to browse through. Your ideal companion might be among them. (site name deleted) brings dating to new frontiers, making impossible, possible!”

I’m having a little trouble with the comfortable and intimate environment thing. They haven’t seen the room my computer sits in. Safe and convenient sounds nice though. But if the website is just a lot of personal ads, can’t I just get something like that at my local news stand or in my local newspaper?

I think I’ll move on and take a look to see if there are online dating services that provide more than dating advice and personal ads.

Hmm, now I find myself on an online dating website that claims to be the biggest online dating service on the web. It has a big picture of Dr. Phil on the front. Almost scared me away, but I’ll tough it out and stay to see what they offer.

Here is what they say, “Looking for more in a relationship and an online dating site? With over 10 years of experience in online dating and relationships, (site name deleted) is the worldwide leader in online dating and relationships. Where else can you find millions of singles looking for love, just like you? We don’t offer just online personals, we are personal in our offerings – to help you find a date, a relationship, a marriage.

Whoa! Marriage? I said I might try online dating. I never said anything about marriage! And now I have the mental image of “millions of singles looking for love”. Wow! Millions. Okay, so they sound big, but what do they actually offer?

Well, first off, they don’t really tell you much about the services they provide. Just a lot of information about the millions who have gotten married through their online dating service. So I bit the bullet and went to the sign up form to learn more.

Now comes the money question. .95 for a month or I can get discounts for longer online dating memberships. Then there is the Dr. Phil MindFindBind program that costs more. Now I’m laughing because since I am checking the online dating service out while typing this article, I evidently have waited too long to make my decision because a popup just came up to offer me assistance with making up my mind.

They do have some free services, but those are basically, create a profile, look at profiles, etc. That’s just like the free services on the first online dating website. You have to pay for the ability to actually respond to any emails sent to you by other members or block members or to see which members have taken a peek at your profile. That all sounds okay, but if you go for the whole Dr. Phil package you get an online dating tutorial, a video about online dating, online dating workshops, and online dating advice. Wow!

Well, as I said, I haven’t decided just yet, so we are going to check out one more online dating website together. Okay, this one is free. They have a patent pending on their matchmaking idea. They calculate your matchability in percentages.

The online dating method they use goes like this, “When you answer a question in our improve matches area we learn: (1) your answer, (2) how you’d like someone else to answer, and (3) how important the question is to you. We collect these three values for all users.

Your match percentage with a given person on (site name deleted), let’s call him b, is based on the values of (1), (2),and (3) for questions you’ve both answered. We’ll call that set S later in this explanation:” Wow! I thought that just regular dating was complicated.

I think I’m going to keep checking out more online dating websites until I find the one that is right for me. So far, the ones we just toured have been too much like personal ads, too expensive, too Dr. Phillish for my tastes, or too complicated. I’m sure though, just like finding the right date, there is an online dating website out there for me and one for you too!

I encourage you to at least try online dating. But don’t stop at the first online dating service you find, just like hopefully you wouldn’t stop at the first singles bar you saw. Check out as many as you need to in order to find the online dating service that is right for you.

Free Online Dating Site Reviews

Never before has hooking up with someone been easier and we have free online dating sites on the internet to thank for this. Apart from the relative convenience (no need to dress up when you’re behind your computer right?), dating services online also pave the way for ‘dating without borders’. Indeed, just a couple of years ago it was almost impossible to even meet people in different countries let alone date them.

Unfortunately though, such flexibility also renders itself to abuse. That’s why it’s extremely important to subscribe only with reputable online dating sites. Now, many argue that the only way to stay safe while using dating services online is to go for paid online dating sites. Well here’s an online dating tip for you – there are plenty of free online dating portals that offer just the same quality in service and security.

A Look at Today’s Top Free Online Dating Sites

Free Online Dating Site OKCupid

Just the site name alone brings up an image of two people finding each other and falling in love right? Not sure where to begin? Follow the site’s online dating advice and take the Dating Persona test. After the quiz, you are classified into one of 32 dating types. Not only is the quiz fun to take but imagine just how much time you’ll save by identifying your dating type and hooking up with someone that is mathematically predicted to be compatible to yours! And this is really the feature that sets OKCupid as a free online dating site apart: it makes use of 55 different measures (and counting!) to pat down your personality trait and thus offer a more suitable match!

Other quizzes offered by this free online dating services provider is the User-Written Tests (quizzes contributed by OKCupid subscribers) and the Staff Tests (quizzes made by ‘Harvard grad’ staffers).

The Privacy Policy of OKCupid is standard enough and it DOES say that your information may be shared with third parties with whom it is connected but then again which free online dating services provider does not do that? Besides, it’s up to YOU to keep your true identity secure. Here’s a very important online dating rule – never subscribe to free online dating sites using your real name, and true and complete address!

Free Online Dating Site Plenty of Fish

If OKCupid provides an image of two people who belong together, Plenty of Fish (POF) tells you “hey, if at first you don’t succeed with this online dating thing, try and try again!”

POF is reputed to be the biggest free dating services online provider because it’s perceived as an online dating site that ‘cares’. The site is created by Marcus Friend with the vision of providing singles all they ever need in an online dating site FOR FREE so that they are not preyed upon by “faceless corporate dating sites”. Subscribers love the features of POF which include an instant messaging tool, compatibility quizzes, a hot or not photo rating system, and highly-attended forums. In fact, POF’s forums are sort of like the online version of Dear Abby as users get to post dating and relationship problems and seek advice from others. POF’s community is also something to be proud of; the site is maintained by many volunteers and those who are active in the forums form “meet & greets” that are open to anyone who wishes to attend. POF definitely shouts “cool” as far as free online dating sites are concerned.

Free Online Dating Site MatchDoctor

MatchDoctor prides itself in combining the features of a free online dating site and a social networking site. Just looking at the site and you immediately feel that it’s a ‘community’.

On the online dating front, it enables subscribers to view other’s profiles and contact those they fancy and to help you with your possible new romance, the site offers plenty of helpful articles and tips covering everything from online dating security to relationship advice.

On the social networking front, MatchDoctor enables subscribers to set up their own blogs when they subscribe, upload photos and videos (think YouTube!), chat with others via the site’s instant messaging tool, and participate in any of the on-going online forums.

As you can see, free online dating is not equal to poor service and security. Just be picky with the dating services online providers you hook up with and you’ll have just as much fun… and chances at meeting your new romance.

Relationship Warning Signs – Take This Relationship Test to Guide you

Category: Dating Guidesadmin @ 8:02 am
dating guides
by infomatique

Is your relationship flashing warning signs? Are you in a relationship that you have some doubts about? Would you like some insight about how to solve your problems but don’t want to share too much with your family or your best friends about what you are feeling?

Often, it is scary to talk about warning signs with those closest to you. Once they hear what you are going through, they may hold a grudge against your love. You and your partner may work it out and get over it…but your friends and family won’t.

To help you be aware of warning signs, and to evaluate your relationship, take this assessment test. Rate yourself on a scale of 0-10, 10 being the best score. Score each section:

·8-10 Good. You are doing well in this area.

·5-7 OK. You may need to work on this area, but it can probably be solved.

·0-4 Needs work. Don’t proceed without professional counseling.

Relationship Assessment Test

Warning Sign #1. SHARED VISION:

The first warning sign is if you want to lead different lives. Ask yourself: Do my partner and I have a clear picture of what we want in life? Do we have common goals for our future together? Example: do you dream about living in an apartment in Paris, and does he rhapsodize about someday living on a farm in West Virginia? If so, this is not a shared vision.

2. SIMILAR VALUES:

A huge warning sign is having different values. Do you know each others values? Do you both love children, tell the truth, believe in fidelity, are both frugal, etc. Example: If you value Sunday church and your religion and he is an atheist, you have a vast difference of opinion about what is important.

3. INDIVIDUAL MISSION:

A warning sign is when one person has no direction or purpose to their life. Do you know each others mission? Are you both aware that you have special talents and gifts and are you prepared to wholeheartedly support each other in using them? Example: Are you planning to be a doctor, but your partner really wants to be a couch potato? If so, you are not on the same page.

4. SUCCESSFUL AS A SINGLE:

A big warning sign is if one of you is needy. Have both of you been happy and successful as singles? Do you know how to be alone and how to make yourself happy? Are you looking for someone to make you happy? Are you seeking a partner out of desperation or need? Example: you both have friends, support systems, finances, and careers.

5. BAGGAGE HANDLED:

Carrying baggage from the past is a big warning sign. Have you both cleaned up your baggage from the past? Are either of you controlled by an Ex? Do you have strategies in place about how you will deal with people from your past (parents, friends, co-workers) but you will not let your past rule your present? Example: the Ex does not call either of you for friendly chats or for help.

6. SAFE COMMUNICATION:

A warning sign is when you are not talking about your issues. Do you know how to have the “hard” talks without hurting each other? Do you know how to create a safe place to express what you need and want? Example: you do not accuse, you inform.

7. POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT:

Negative words are warning signs. Do you spend most of your time validating each other? Do you recognize the skills and talents each of you have and remind your partner of them? Example: Do you say far more positive than negative things to each other on a daily basis?

8. NO BAD-MOUTHING:

Another warning sign is when you are complaining about your partner to others. Do you speak harshly or negatively about each other to other people? If you have issues, do you discuss them? Example: If you can’t solve them, do you get help?

9. COMMITMENT:

Commitment issues are warning signs. Are you both in this relationship for the long haul? Do you both know it is not okay to have other romantic interests on the side? Example: If one of you feels a need to see other people, do you understand that you have to work your way out of this relationship, just as you worked your way into it?

10. GRATITUDE:

If you don’t feel grateful for your relationship, this is a warning sign. Do you think your partner is the most fabulous person in the world and are you grateful everyday that you are together? Example: Do you let your partner know that?

A score of 80 to 100 means that your relationship has an excellent chance of surviving. A score of 50 to 75 means your partnership is okay, but will need some work. Below 50 means you need to rethink your commitment.

If many of these areas are not working in your relationship, these are your warning signs. Take a look at the areas that you should talk about. If you have a low score, ask your love to go to counseling with you if you truly want this to last. Because, if you’re in love…that’s the least two people in love can give each other.
